Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the Notification of Geologist Exam – 2012 to fill the posts of Geologists, Hydrologists in Geological Survey of India and Central Ground Water Board.

No.of Vacancies: 382

Geologist (Group-A) – 300,

Asst. Geologist (Grade-1) – 67,

Junior Hydrologist – 12.

Eligibility:

P.G. in Geology/ Applied Geology/ Geo Exploration/ Mineral Exploration/ Engineering Geology/ Merin Geology/ Earth Sciences and Resource Management/ Oceanography and Petroleum Geo Science/ Geo Chemistry/ Geological Science

Age Limit:  21 to 32 years for Geologist Post and 21 to 35 years for Hydrologist Posts

Selection:  Written Exam and Interview

Fee:  Rs. 200/- payable in SBH.

Last Date for Online Registration:  15^th October, 2012.

Written Exam:  1^st December, 2012.
